THE STILL QUIET VOICE

LISTENING/DISOBEYING

There are things in life that we take for granted which is not supposed to be taken for granted because it only takes a little disobedience to change things and turn them around. Our ability to listen and abide with His word is what will pull us through, there are several ways that the Lord communicate with us but our ability to actually abide with those words is going to be our direction and guide us through life. The still quiet voice is that soft, smooth and consoling voice that is always there to help us in times of confusion to pull us through. So for the past week, i have been having this encounters that a voice would speak to me telling me to do something or take a step but i would blindly refuse and do things my way; apparently i did not know that it was preparing me for a greater incidence that was to befall me but i did not learn my lesson easily.

On Monday, March 14th, i came back from work as usual, and decided to run some errands before eventually going home, i went to the store to get some things i needed and as i walked out of the store, i heard the voice clearly; "why don't you just take the local route to where you are going instead of the high way", i bluntly refuted the voice and just thought why would i take the long route when there is an easier and faster way to my destination. And so, being an unknowing human that does not know the future or see what God has seen ahead of time, i went ahead to take the high way. As i was about to take the exit on the high way, here comes this guy that made a wrong decision at the wrong time and in the plot to avoid hitting him, i swerved my car but didn't realize there was a car on the other lane; this car hit me from behind and my car literally made a 360 and ended up hitting the wall, for a minute i didn't think that i was still alive.

Do NOT bury His voice it is for guidance
After i came to, i thought i had lost my legs or something vital but all i came out of the accident with were broken nails and a swollen hand, all shaken up and scared i came out and a lady that saw me told me, "God brought you out alive". I cried because i could have died because of one disobedience. The wage of one disobedience might not be death but can be very deadly, my car was written off as in the whole side is gone but here i am, writing the story of how it played out. My point to us today is that we need to pay attention to that still quiet voice and consciously obey its saying because truth is, God has seen the future from the beginning and for Him to actually say to do something or act a certain way, He knows what He is doing, so let us save ourselves the pain of finding out the outcome before we eventually listen.

"Remember that whatever God has us to do is not for His benefit or goodness, it is to protect us from what comes out from that action, so let us be mindful of that STILL QUIET VOICE.
He sees the future and He knows it all, He will never lead you astray or guide you amiss" Adeola Oladele

Just Writing

An enthusiastically emotional realist. I believe that life is not all about YES or NO but a few Mybes and In-decisions but your ability to figure it out makes you stand out. A lover of God and His ways and I believe that a Hopeless romantic is not bad because we view life in a romantic angle.
