POEM
Today’s youth are leaders of tomorrow
I heard this saying a lot growing up (smile)
I am all grown now and I am not even sure of that leadership thing
Should I find my purpose in the world?
Or should I find it in the Lord?
Are you as confused as I am?
I am split between make it work
And making it to God (Big grin)
If I find my place in the kingdom
Will it strengthen up my tendon?
But I don’t think it is as hard over there
Maybe, just maybe if I find my place in the kingdom
It will help strengthen my tendon
What is the efficacy of being a youth?
If I am afraid of tomorrow
But am I afraid because I am a youth
Or because I am not obeying the rules to follow
Well, maybe if I try to abide not by the world
But adhere strictly to the will of the Lord
It will be easy for me to be the person today
That is likened to the Christ of those days
Youth let us all rise up and fight
Hoping to God to give us the might
If we are not capable of taking the baton
These leaders will continue to feed us bacon
But if we are in the right standing population
Tomorrow’s youth will give us a standing ovation
Don’t lose your place in God
Chasing what is not
Be an outstanding youth of today
And pave the way for a leader tomorrow
