THE WRITER AND THE ACTOR

KNOW YOUR ROLE

It has been a while...I know!!! Happy New Year Friends. I hope the new year is treating us all well by the grace of God. This will be our year to flourish in Jesus name. It is time to share with each other again. Remember, ideas and opinions are always welcomed. Check the info below if you want to reach out.
Image result for know your roleA while ago, I was taking my shower and I heard clearly in my spirit, " Why do you always feel a need to add to my script?" At first, I wasn't really sure what that meant but in a short while, the spirit of God helped me to understand that many times, in different occasions and at different point of my life, I have tried to help God fixed a scene, tried to add a few lines, tried to adjust the story and even added a few extra characters to His well written story and then I imagine why the movie is taking too long a time to be over. It is not because the writer is not good enough or that He don't know what He wrote, It is just that the actor tend to forget their role and tries to help the script writer correct a few lines because they feel like they know the job better. This is the time to pause, and stop at your roll.
One unfailing truth, that the actor has not understand is no matter how much experienced you are in acting, no matter how many movies you have under you feather, you cannot be as into he story or know so much about the story as much as the writer because the writer is invested in the story. You were not involved in the making of the story, you don't know the intentions of the writer or what the writer has seen as the outcome of the story before they wrote it so why would you think that you understand exactly what the writer does not.

The mistake we make as human being is that we feel like we understand the things of the world better because we live in it and God is just sitting above in the sky, He doesn't understand how to run things here. We forget the fact He created the universe and He knows the in and out of it. Remember, He is the beginning of the end, He knows the end from the beginning so if He knows all these things, why do we feel a need to help Him through life difficulties when it is very glaring that He alone can basically bring us out of it. How many times have we felt like this is the way it should actually go and forget to figure out exactly what God's plan for our lives is? How many times have we held on to a relationship that is not healthy for us and in the book of God those relationships were not allowed? How many times have we added things in our lives that were not originally there but we felt like those things will make us whole and complete? I am sure a lot of us are guilty of these things.

It is not too late to curl back into our roles and follow the script, it is not too late to ask God for guidance and direction in our lives, it is not too late to drop our prides and arrogance and let God direct our path to the designed destination. The first step to doing this is let God into our lives and our affairs, and then let down the guard, lay down your expertise, lay down your knowledge and allow Him to be the captain of your life that was originally meant for Him. As long as we understand the fact that in life we cannot make it through without the help of the Most High, He would step in and never leave. But you have to let Him know that you actually do want Him to do His job as the author and finisher of your faith, you have to die in self so as to be alive in Him. Give Him His position today and stop trying to do His job, He wrote the story of your life, so who better to direct you on how you should go about it.

PS: God is not a forceful God, He only steps in as much as we ask Him too, so if you want Him to be in charge, you have to make that very very clear. God bless you.

NB: Remember, you can share your experiences, leave comment and ideas. God love you.

Just Writing

An enthusiastically emotional realist. I believe that life is not all about YES or NO but a few Mybes and In-decisions but your ability to figure it out makes you stand out. A lover of God and His ways and I believe that a Hopeless romantic is not bad because we view life in a romantic angle.
